Detection: Tomato infectious chlorosis virus.

Matrix: Symptomatic tomato leaves.

Other information: kit developed and optimized by Qualiplante according to Tiberini et al., 2011. A verification was performed by Qualiplante (data not published) and the performance characteristics of the kit are the same as the original publication.

Primers and probe have been derived from the CP gene located on RNA2 of TICV.

The test of Tiberini et al., 2011 was evaluated in the framework of the ARNADIA project with the following performances:

  • repeatability: 100%,
  • reproducibility: 99%,
  • diagnostic sensitivity:100%,
  • diagnostic specificity: 100%,
  • relative accuracy: 100%,
  • analytical sensitivity: 10-6.

The One-Step Real-Time RT-PCR test of Tiberini et al. 2011 is referred in the Appendix 2 of the PM7/118 (1) Tomato chlorosis virus and Tomato infectious chlorosis virus, European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization Bulletin (2013) 43 (3), 462- 470 and recommended by Progetto Aron-Arnadia – Protocollo per test diagnostici Tomato infectious chlorosis virus and Tomato chlorosis virus.
